e cooks: herb crusted rack of lamb, macaroni gratin & chocolate fondant

18 May 2014

It's been a long (but wonderful!) week over here, so I'm going to keep the words to a minimum - hope you don't mind!

We recently had one of E's best friends and ex-flatmate over for dinner, and E whipped up some delicious lamb and macaroni gratin. The best ingredient in the macaroni? Nutmeg. It takes it up to another level.

The lamb's crust was butter, breadcrumbs, anchovies, garlic and herbs, and it was excellent.

Dessert was spectacular! -ly rich, too.

Chocolate fondant (lava cake), topped with Marc de Champagne ice cream. What?

Let's just say it was a good thing we went running the following morning.

Happy Sunday!

p.s. remember the Maille culinary challenge? E's recipes have made it to the top 10 - you can have a look at our entry on their Facebook page, and 9 other amazing looking recipes in their album here.

  1. Oh my Miho, you are the luckiest wife ever! I can't actually choose my favourite element from this meal. What a genius idea to pair rack of lamb with macaroni gratin. I'd like E to teach me to cook French food...!
