Read: The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. I was messaging my fellow bookworm friend S for reading recommendations as I'd been on such a book slump lately, and she was the 747254th person to say that she'd heard The Night Circus is good. I took that as a sign and started reading it that day, and finished it in a couple of days. It really is as enchanting as everyone says it is, I thought it was unique and it drew me into a different world. Any recommendations of books I can get really stuck into? Addictive, exciting and good writing, please.

Watched: The Theory of Everything. A beautiful, touching film with some of the best acting I've ever seen - if Eddie Redmayne doesn't win the Oscar, I'll eat mushrooms. (I don't like mushrooms.)

Ate: The sushi I ate at Sushi Samba was quite amazing - will be blogging about it soon!

Purchased: Without a doubt, this beautiful cookbook. I will be writing a review on it soon, but it has inspired me so much in the kitchen.

Clicked:    - SilverSpoon London by Angie. My favourite post of hers this month was "How travel has made me face my fears", amongst other posts of restaurants she's recently tried. Read her Q&A post if you missed it, it's a good one!

               - Bumpkin Betty by Jaclyn. It's a beautifully curated blog, featuring beauty, fashion, London spots, food and wedding planning! My favourite post this month was "Designing an engagement ring: part 1" - I love that she chose to have her ring custom made (I'm a little biased, as mine was, too!), and that she goes into detail about her personal designing process. It's hard not to enjoy her blog, it has a bit of everything!

Listened: Serial really did make a podcast convert out me - I'm enjoying the new (as of this month) podcast, Invisibilia, a program that talks about the invisible forces that influence human behaviour. They come up with such fascinating topics and I find them so thought-provoking, it has even given me ideas that I passionately want to blog about.

Wore: With all the good intentions in the world, I still did some damage in the January sales. I did mostly stick to things I knew I needed though, one of which was a pair of lounge trousers from the Jack Wills sales. When I'm working from home, I like to be as comfortable as possible, which means I end up wearing things I'm slightly embarrassed to be seen in... even in front of the postman. It was high time I invested in some good quality loungewear, and I'd had my eye on the ones from JW - and was very happy to snap them up half price! They are the comfiest things ever.

Exercised: I finally got my exercising mojo back and am on Week 3 of Kayla's 12 week workout guide. It really does feel good to have a routine and an aim in terms of fitness - as much as running was a great activity for me and I still plan to get back into it at some point, it never gave me the results in terms of toning up and muscle building that I was after (as well as being quite hard on my knees), so I'm hoping that this will be something that pushes me towards those goals. I'll keep you posted!

Blogged: My favourite post I wrote this month was the Santorini one - I'm so glad some of you have bookmarked this hotel, because it honestly should be on everyone's bucket lists.

Celebrated: Nothing specific - it has generally been a good month though, which is a nice thing to be able to say about January!

Cooked: Not to toot my own horn, but I have been doing very well with my "cook more" resolution! There'll be healthy recipes and cookbook reviews up soon, as well as a cocktail recipe that you'll hopefully enjoy - particularly if you've completed Dry January! (I did not.)

Thanks so much for reading!
