I have a truly wonderful feast for you today, presented by fellow foodie Angie from SilverSpoon London! She's giving us a list and a taste from 8 different restaurants in Soho, that boast different culinary flavours from around the world - so you can stay within the centre of London and travel across continents through food. I love how much choice there is in the city when it comes to different cuisines, and Angie has highlighted some of her favourites, along with some mouth-watering photos. Be ready to get hungry.

Take a little walk down the narrow side streets and back alleys of Soho and you'll find a world of global gastronomy at very reasonable prices. Over on my blog, SilverSpoon London, I write a series called 'Soho Lunch Club' which showcases some of my top choices for the area.
London is having something of a love affair with Peruvian food and Ceviche's
founder, Martin Morales was instrumental in introducing this trend into London.
Morales uses the best in Peruvian recipes and top British produce to prepare the
most incredible fresh and delicious dishes.
So take a seat in the restaurant's laid-back Frith Street location, order up a
selection of the restaurant's signature ceviches, sip on a Pisco Sour and dream
that you're really in Peru on a dreary London day.
Walk into Blanchette and you feel as if you could have strolled into a rustic
kitchen in Provence. The chefs at Blanchette like to keep it simple and the menu
is made up of traditional French snacks, charcuterie and sharing
plates.
I would very much recommend getting a big bowl of mussels and mopping up
the sauce with a hunk of their freshly made bread. However, everything on the
menu that we tried was excellent and it all comes at a very reasonable
price.
The restaurant used to be a well kept secret, but since branching out into Hoxton
Square, more and more people have discovered the hidden gem that is 10 Greek
Street.
The dining room is simple and totally unpretentious, and the menu of Modern
European classics is written up on a blackboard to accommodate daily changes.
The Soho gem is excellent value for money so I would advise you to skip the
cheap chain restaurants and head here for excellent quality food.
I'm so glad that I found Cay Tre on Dean Street because I love the authentic
Vietnamese food on the menu. Don't expect anything posh, the dining room has a
canteen-like feel but the food is fantastic!
Definitely check out the monkfish which is prepared table side using deliciously
fresh ingredients.
And for Vietnamese food with a modern twist, I love House of Ho with it's
selection of delicate summer rolls, fresh salads and sharing plates. Everything I
tried tasted so healthy but with so much wonderful flavour.
The Wardour Street Restaurant is not your average American diner. The
restaurant is fun and buzzy and there is an emphasis on quality food. Unlike
some diners, Jackson + Rye offers plenty of healthy options too, so
superfood salad and sea bass are on the menu alongside truffled mac &
cheese and buttermilk fried chicken.
I haven't met a blogger / Londoner / foodie that doesn't love Polpo. The
restaurant is a Venetian bacaro meaning a humble restaurant serving simple
food; a pretty modest description for a place that does the most beautifully crisp
pizzette, a juicy selection of meatballs and it's own branded
prosecco.
Just be aware everyone else agrees about how great it is, it's often very crowded
and they don't take reservations for dinner. Fortunately, in recent years several
more branches have opened so there's no need to rely entirely on the Soho
one!
When I recently visited Rex and Mariano, I quickly declared the place my new
favourite restaurant. The menu is mostly fish, and the quality is excellent but
without the price tag of some of London's top seafood restaurants.
There's lots of raw options including tartar, ceviche and carpaccio plus lots of hot
dishes cooked a la plancha. R and M have become famous for their incredible red
prawns - so those are a must order. The menu and whole ordering system works
by iPad so it's very quick and convenient, and it means that you save on the
service charge.
So as you can see a little trip to Soho really will take you around the world, from
South America to North America, Asia and Europe, there's something for
everyone without breaking the budget.
