We took two cupcakes to go from The Angel Bakery, a cute little cake shop on a tiny street, although I'm not sure how we managed to eat them on our way home after all the food we'd eaten already (which I'll talk about in a few days!). It's such a lovely seaside town, and it made for the perfect change of scenery from London - as much as I love the city, it's nice to enjoy somewhere not to far away, but still somewhere that feels unfamiliar and refreshing.
Any suggestions of where we should go next that's not too far by train from London?
I really want to go to Brighton again now :( I'm trying to remember when I last went and it must have been so many years ago, it was possibly even as far back as my teenage years!
ReplyDeleteOooooooooh recommendations! Well I'm biased because I was born and grew up there but have you thought about maybe Norwich? It's only 1 hour 50 minutes out of Liverpool St and if you book early enough you can easily get a ticket for £7 each way or sit in First Class for around £13! It's a really quick journey and well worth it - Norwich has great shopping, and it's really pretty - you have the Castle and the Cathedral and lots of lovely cobbled streets to wander around. Ooooooh it also has Europe's largest outdoor permanent market :D

DeleteBeautiful pictures which really prompt me to go to Brighton again! Last time I could only stay a day and it was windy but sunny. I loved the Lanes and the Pier of course, but this time I'd love to catch a play and a gig, I hear it's quite an alternative artistic city!
ReplyDeleteit does get pretty windy by the sea! i hear that too, sounds like a fun thing to do there x

DeleteS T U N N I N G. That orange and teal building is gorgeous, and that last shot of the grassy area is amazing...that building in the distance looks so exotic haha. The flowers are so colorful! I am also so jealous of your ability to take pictures inside places...I'm still trying to get over that shyness.
