First stop was the ever popular Brighton Pier. It's what childhood dreams are made of - fried food, sweets, funfair rides, arcade games - it's all there. We watched brave (or bonkers) men jet-ski around in the water, we tucked into Nutella donuts (as good as it sounds), went on the haunted house ride (let's just say E had a ringing in his ear for a while after), and loved every minute.

Last Saturday, we decided to take a day trip to Brighton, somewhere neither of us had been for years and years. We lucked out with the weather (or rather, I had checked incessantly to make sure it would behave before we went), and packed in long strolls along the beach, delicious food and aimless meanderings around town.

Lovely photos! I especially love all the retro signs! I have actually never been to Brighton because I grew up in the north of England so we went to beaches like Bridlington and Whitby.
